Henderson County Foster Parents Association

a nonprofit organization committed to supporting local foster children and the families who serve them.

May is Foster Care Awareness Month!
We’re asking our community to step up and pick a day in May to donate in honor of children in foster care and the families who love them.

31 days. 31 chances to make a difference.
Choose a date that matters to you—your birthday, adoption day, or just a day you feel called to give—and donate to Henderson County Foster Parent Association.

Every gift helps support, equip, and encourage local foster families.
Let’s fill the month with generosity and hope. Will you claim your day? Let us know by giving below!

Your generosity helps us provide stability, hope, and essential resources to children and teens in the foster care system. Every donation goes toward creating safe homes, supporting foster families, and ensuring every child feels seen, valued, and loved.

Be part of their story—give today.

Our Resource Center is committed to meeting the essential needs of foster children. We offer a wide range of items, including clothing, shoes, and hygiene products, to support families. Foster and kinship families can visit our clothing closet at various times, such as when a new child arrives, during seasonal changes, or after their current child has outgrown their clothing.

In addition to clothing and shoes, we provide an assortment of other items, including cribs, strollers, car seats, baby gear, toys, and books. Our Resource Center also serves as a welcoming space for training and support for both foster and kinship families, ensuring that they have access to the information and resources needed to provide the best care possible.
